Projects contributions
From 2023 to 2025 I worked as a researcher at SpaceLab, the Space Technology Research Laboratory at UFSC. These are the lab’s repositories I contributed to, and what my part was in each one.
Radio occultation mission#
SpaceLab’s radio occultation satellite mission (ROCUS) and its instrument. My work covers antennas, solar panels, GNSS hardware, a signal simulator and the mission documentation.
Mission documentation
Subsystem and antenna sections, figures and the repository overview.
GNSS active antenna
Hardware design: schematic, PCB and manufacturing files. The first version leaves out the bias-tee to keep the design simple.
Radio occultation antenna
Started the antenna array hardware project, with its component library (symbols, footprints and 3D models) and documentation.
Solar panels
Hardware for the solar panels: cell footprint and 3D model, connectors, routing and documentation.
GNSS simulator
Source code and documentation of the simulator used to test the radio occultation instrument.
GNSS module
Hardware project of the module and its README overview.
S-band communication#
S-band antenna
Started the hardware project and worked on the antenna layout, with documentation and pictures.
S-band transmitter
System diagram and the initial hardware and firmware structure of the repository.
Shared tools#
I also set up the initial structure of slsdr, a software-defined radio module for CubeSats, and of mission-planning-tools, for mission planning.
